BIG DAY

Ah… this one requires a certain gravitas. Tik Tok its time.
This is a shout-out to Matt Karlitz.
For the past ten years—ten remarkably consistent, unwavering years—Matt has found a way to reach me on every big day. And I do mean every method of communication known to man. Email. Text. Possibly a homing pigeon. I’m fairly certain I once saw a bat signal shaped like a capital B. Smoke signals are not out of the question.
And the message is always the same. Perfect in its simplicity. Almost elegant.
“BIG DAY.”
Now, bless Matt’s golden heart, because that kind of reliability is rare. Governments collapse faster than Matt’s commitment to reminding me when something matters. Empires fall. Phones die. Wi-Fi betrays us. But Matt? Matt endures.
I am confident—no, certain—that tomorrow, as the sun rises and the universe once again spins slightly off its axis, I will hear from him.
“BIG DAY.”
Not a prediction. Not analysis. A declaration.
And there’s something comforting about that. In a world drowning in noise, hot takes, and unnecessary punctuation, Matt cuts through it all with two words. No qualifiers. No excuses. Just faith. Conviction. And an unwavering belief that today—today—matters.
So here’s to Matt Karlitz. A man who never misses a big day. And more importantly, never lets you forget it either.
So, why is tomorrow, or today depending when you are reading this, the postponed big day at Turfway is upon us.
We have a full workout report of Florence Y'all, with the only workout report available with videos from Turfway on the market. Yes the Florence main track can be tough as well as rewarding. Amy Kearns, our Florence Y'all Queen, has done very well at Turfway, and as she states, she picks her spot. She just asks for more info from yours truly on the works.
I use the works not by time but by body language, the language of the thoroughbred. Horses speak to you how they move and respond to their tasks in the morning, great example was Saturday at Gulfstream, the 6th race, Mystic Lake:

'NOT STRETCHING OUT CONFIDENTLY' should have been enough at 6/5 to have the player jettison any plays with her opening up to possible price play.
Using workouts as a decipher for for their body language is NOT something everyone can do. Many workouts aficionados are dependent on time. Once the players puts time aside and focuses on the language the horse is speaking it takes you to another level. The last frontier in racing is the ability to read body language of a racehorse, no times, no bias, no figures, just the horse and how the horse moves and acts, Mystic Lake was the perfect example.
So, Big Day with Turfways big happening down in Florence, Y'all, Oaklawn is also in full swing, also with the ONLY workout report available with videos. Oaklawn has cheaper types and some high class horses, understanding the track and how horses look and move is the key. Cheap ones, old ones, young ones and classy ones all show you their up to date physical prowes, again not by time but by their visual representation.
You want to win, you want to beat the CAWs, then beat the odds learn about horses, pay attention to them physically, and no, not the he is such a pretty horse. Learn what makes horses tick
Tick tock time is awasting.
