Big Big Day

I had been preaching for 2 weeks on this forum about the differences from the summer meet at Del Mar and the winter meet, and I shared a story about someone coming in without any experience calling for speed and 'golden rail' for the weekend.

We know how yesterday played, there was no golden rail, speed only went gate to wire once, and that was our player Citizen Bull at 15-1 winning.

Those who went in with the mentality they were going to bet speed inside got drubbed, but some horseplayers are just crybabies, they are never wrong and everyone is against them, the only excuse when you lose is "you chose poorly''.

Here is a video of a poor choice:

If you win "You chose wisely" and I have video of one handicapper that did so:

Obviously, making a poor choice in racing is mostly due to arrogance, but it can also be you follow the wrong people. Some will tell you anything for attention.

For example, if you go on National Television and are all over East Avenue, you can't consciously go on Twitter/X ten minutes later pat yourself on the back and claim you were all over Citizen Bull, It is disingenuous and wrong.

We had a great day yesterday, but this game is also 'what have you done for me today' and that is why even if you or I had a great day yesterday, today is a brand new day, the slate is clean.

Clear your mind and the only thing you need to have another good day:

What a 'Stars of tomorrow' Friday, you can follow along by looking at our BC Race Recap blog, but I always try to reset myself, and start fresh, brand new day.

Every race card is a rubiks cube waiting to be solved.

Big day tomorrow, and it starts early.

Let me backtrack a bit, before I embarked on decade long Eastern tour in 2011, I had been on the Jason Levin Inside Racing radio show for over 3 years.

I'll be joining Jason on the show tomorrow, 8 am PDT, 11 am EDT, and every Saturday and we are going to talk horses and tomorrow especially Breeders Cup.

You can listen from anywhere at Racingjason.com or on I Heart Radio.

i have not done Southern California radio since 2011, I was bit rusty last weekend, but it's good to be back with Jason, as we had good chemistry on the air.

Jason even has a replay that goes up about 9:30 on Inside Racing Year 20, so if you miss the show you can still hear us at your convenience.

You never know what happens when Jason and I start chatting, and sometimes I don't know what's going to come out of my mouth.

The show also features Steve Pollack and Jay Friedlander.

What I like about Jason's show is he says whats on his mind. He doesn't hold back. I like that, as I can do the same, even though I have learned to put a tongue tie on and add blinkers.

So, if you are counting on a big day, I am counting on you to listen in,
