Santa Anita Bias Report

Friday 1/18

After three straight days of heavy rain forced a cancellation, the track was labeled good to start the week and was very fair to both speed types and closers.

No turf racing.

Saturday 1/19

Three races down the hill and another three races won either wire to wire or just off the pace.....incredible bias continues.

Main track played fair.

Sunday 1/20

Main track was favoring speed and the turf was fair. Down the hill actually had a runner make up ground and get up late.

Monday 1/21

Main track once again was tilted towards speed types, could be the rain washed away the outside closer bias, that was very pronounced through the first three weeks of the meet. Hillside course had another runner make up significant ground, for only the second time this meet.
