YOU HAVE BEEN CLASSICALLY CONDITIONED TO FOLLOW LIKE SHEEPS.

STOP FOLLOWING THE MASSES.

Received this Text yesterday:

The Handicapping public has become blind followers, thanks to social media and the wave of cult like behaviors.

They latch onto something, hear the same recycled opinions everyone else is hearing, and ride that train straight to the window—most of the time toward goals that was never theirs to begin with. But they follow anyway.

A horse opens at 6/5 you can bet its being touted heavily in the DRF Report. You can bank on it.

And here is where it gets really simple: if you need that other report to tell you what to think, you are already losing.

Truth be told, every year the same thing happens. They get their asses handed to them, and if you are following them, guess what? You are getting yours handed to you right along with them.

They flood the market with information designed for the suckers who are willing to follow along. And what do those people end up with?

“Flooding the market with information” means putting so much information, opinion, analysis, and supposedly actionable advice into circulation that the bettor can no longer distinguish genuine signal from noise.

The important part is what happens after that information reaches the market:

  • Everyone sees the same thing. If thousands of bettors are told the same horse is a “must use,” they all begin acting on the same information.

  • The money concentrates. That horse gets bet down, and its odds become shorter.

  • The perceived edge disappears. What may have been valuable information at 8/1 is very different at 2/1.

  • The market becomes predictable. The crowd is effectively being funneled toward the same side.

  • Value moves elsewhere. When too much money piles onto one opinion, other horses can become comparatively overlooked.

  • The bettor mistakes information for an advantage. Knowing something everybody else knows isn't necessarily an edge. The edge comes from knowing something more accurately, earlier, or differently than the market.

Flood the market with information → create consensus → concentrate the public's money → drive down the price on the obvious selections → leave the followers believing they have an edge when, in reality, they are paying the market price for information everyone already has.

One important distinction: that does not by itself prove anyone is deliberately manipulating a pool. In a pari-mutuel market, the public behavior can create the same imbalance.

We blamed the CAWs for everything but right under noses there are others at play to create opportunities for them and them alone.

Enough is enough.

Are WE the only ones that see this ? Where is HISA? Where is NYRA? Where is the NY State Gaming Commission?

It really is up to US, nobody is coming to rescue us. Nobody.

YOU need to put YOUR foot down. YOU want information YOU can count on. YOU want information that actually gives YOU an edge—not the same watered-down garbage being passed around to the droves of brainless handicappers who are perfectly comfortable following the crowd.

Following the crowd is easy.

Thinking for yourself is where the advantage begins. STOP CHASING THE LOSERS TRAIN.

That is the difference. And it is time to start acting like it.

The way we can combat this onslaught of misinformation is to NOT follow the crowd.

How many times you hear handicappers say "well he's dead on the board" as if that is meaning 'they don't like the horse'

A handicapper once tried to tell me a story about my own horse, Banksy's.

He was 27-1 first time out, and the argument was simple: “How good can he be? They didn’t like him first out.”

Really? Who the Fuck is they? I am right here 'M%thrF$@%er!

That is what the board told you?

The board told you one thing: Banksy was 27-1. It did not tell you how good he was. It did not tell you what we thought of him. And it certainly did not tell you what we had seen in his preparation.

The truth was, we loved the horse.

He ran a winning race, A VERY GOOD 2ND, and we knew what we had. We don't go on social media announcing our chances to the world. We don't need to tell everybody what we're thinking. But we had video work that highlighted Banksy's talent, and when we handicapped the race, we had him right on top. We protect our opinions for those who matter. YOU.

The public missed it.

Why?

Because they didn't open their eyes.

The information was there. The tools were there. The videos were there. He was good in those videos, one particularly when he left $450K Justify filly in his literal wake. The opportunity to do the work was there. But doing the work requires something most people don't want to give you anymore—thought and effort.

Instead, they want somebody to tell them what to like.

They want the report. They want the expert. They want the consensus. They want the horse everyone else is talking about. They want to be spoon-fed.

Let's call it what it is.

They don't want to handicap. They want to be told.

And when everyone is being fed the same information, everyone ends up standing in the same line at the same price.

That's not an edge.

That's following.

You know how many times I have been told "I don't want to read it in your products, I want you to tell me", and there you have it, that's today mentality, approach, they want to sit in their booster chair and be spoon fed.

That's why getting a tip is special to so many, they are being spoon fed info and they don't have to do any work. Thats the truth with public consensus today.

IS THE PRICE RIGHT?

That’s where RacingwithBruno comes in.

Because the biggest opportunities aren't found by following the crowd and many handicappers ar following the crowd, The biggest opportunities is playing horses that aren't being touted to the crowd.

Sometimes they're found by seeing what the crowd doesn't see, doesn't know, not what everyone else sees.
