Calabonga !

Calabonga was a poor man Silky Sullivan in the early 1980s, raced for 6 years, in 111 starts, winning 13 races and placing in 17 of them.

It is also a exclamatory term, 'Calabonga', a celebratory yell, and we are screaming out Calabonga tonite, and they heard us all the way from Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Racingwithbruno and Oaklawn Jockey Club will be offering Oaklawn Video Works Library

We start on Thursday filming works, as our own Jason Graff will be training two camera operators to get us started.

Oaklawn Park management, and Ron Moquett have been instrumental in making this a possibilty for the horseplayer to get some great information for already their strong meet.

This winter Racingwithbruno will have all the key tracks for the 'capper, with our own Gabe Smith filming works at Turfway Park, Amy Kearns at Keeneland, Jason Graff at Fair Grounds and our new crew at Oaklawn.

Say with me "Calabonga"!

It's going to be a fun winter!

Tidbits

What's this new Hummer from GMC doing the crabwalk? Why would I want a vehicle that acts like a tiring horse down the stretch? I see enough of those

To shine a light on handicapping it is sort of like a crabwalk.

What works in one race it will go sideways in another, you job as an analyst, is like playing hopscotch. I don't not recommend for any of you to get out chalk and start hopscotching, some of us are a not as nimble as we used to be, however, mentally we can hopscotch capping wise.

Using 'Sheets, Beyer Figures, is something everybody does, they simply have a forward gear, they can go backwards, and definitely can't crabwalk.

MikeTomlin

Heart sometimes is better than the X's and O's. Tomlin is the head coach of the Pittsburg Steelers or as some Italians say "Pizzaborg''

Tomlin isn't a 'gumba' nor a paisano but he is a winner, just like that thoroughbred that never seems to have the best figures or the high profile connections but just keeps winning.

Figures don't work on those horses, they outrun their odds and simply run to their competition. They clock themselves and just do enough to win. They have learned that their fastball is not good enough and they run with a blend of off speed pitches and curveballs.

They have learned how to win like pitchers like Greg Maddox, Tom Glavine, Gaylor Perry, who pitch and not throw just the heat.

They can run fast, when they need to, but have learned to win and keep themselves sound.

Mike Tomlin would have made a terrific thoroughbred.

The Holiday Season is here i want to wish a terrific holiday season, now let's go make some shopping dough!
