But, not today, It's Pegasus day.
Good card, weather is just fine, and we are on the turf, which in today's climate it's 'Funky Like A Monkey'.
At Oaklawn a fast track is also in order in an overcast sky and decent weather before rains return tomorrow. Oaklawn has had more cancellations than we can count, including training.
Add Santa Anita, Fair Grounds (Off the turf) and more......
Gulfstream is Gulfstream and we will get what we always see from South Florida, on Pegasus day the cream rises to the top.
So, before we come off the top rope on Oaklawn's card, let's see what the track is like. The Southwest is a play today with an exciting juvenile we picked on top. We liked this one from day one.
Wrestling was big in our household, something the family all watched together, and as we got older and understood it was all entertainment we had some great fodder between father and sons, as he would get so mad we would tell him it was 'staged'.
Pretty much like handicapping with buddies and you argue about who's going to win the races. You, sometimes, wanted to place a figure 4 leg lock on the conspiracy theorist handicapper or deliver the piledriver to the guy that always bemoanded a bad beat for days.
