BC Saturday RECAP

Updated: Nov 2

We will continue what we did yesterday with a race by race recap and today we will also talk about the track and what we expect.

We have been extremely competent in our analysis of the Del Mar surface in these Breeders Cups where the surf meets the turf.

Moisture is everything, and Del Mar winter is far more cool, and damp, for example this morning, on the eve of the Saturday Breeders Cup it is overcast, very cool, and damp.

Here is a picture of water being added and you can see the moisture in the track:

You can see the darker tint of the track and with no sunlight cool temps its more apt to play against speed early.

Yesterday the track early played to the outside. There was no deying it.

Keep in this in mind as the day goes on.

I loved this horse in the Pacific Classic and couldn't believe we got run down late by Mixto.

Great couple of days I will have full stats for the two days tomorrow.

It's been a pleasure and thanks for being part of our BC24 and us yours

So, these geniuses decide they have to be on the lead after seeing horses come from far back on the main. What races are they watching?

So, they go in 22 and change and 44 and change? Seriously?

They hustled up Forever Young to be pressing inside on the worse part of the track?

The Japanese didn't do their homework here. They commited Suppuku by calvary charge out of the gate.

Sierra Leone has never had a set up like that and this time he was straight and won easy.

Who says the track can't propel you. He was slingshotted on the far turn, like Soul of An Angel earlier.

City of Troy missed the break, far back, another genius moved inside on the main and that was all she wrote.

Do these people watch replays?

Race 1 Recap:

the winner off the also eligible, Hector Berrios replaced Kent Desormeaux going off 25-1 off a layoff and held off a hanging Canada Gate who flipped to the wrong lead as he was in the process of hanging, meaning tiring.

I watched, as we got bigger fish to fry later.
