Barnes

Baffert's first starter at Churchill Downs in some time, is entered today and I faded him, enthusiastically.

First of all, the horse was working under his dam's name and we didn't switch over to his racing name until it was too late.

Second, and most important, if you have had speeding tickets and the next one you receive you are having your license revoked, you are going to be very careful. Any little thing even a bute overage is the last thing you want, as you get a third one and there goes your license.

Third, Baffert worked Barnes 5 days apart and then shipped, he worked Friday November 15th, then again Wednesday, November 20th with New King.

To me, Baffert wasn't happy how he worked, with blinkers off, vs Getaway Car, and turned him around and worked him again 5 days later.

There is a question in my mind about this horse, it just doesnt add up, the quick turn around and on and off with blinkers in the morning, for starters.

If I fade him at even $$ and he loses, we told you so, if he wins at short $$ or less, who cares.

Handicappers these days handicap purchase prices, and this one that was purchase for hefty three million dollars plus, remember the last 3,5 million dollar horse purchase by Zedan? Hejazi $3.5 million dollar horse.

Just because he was bought for buckoo bucks means nothing to me, or as I told subscriber "I don't give a $hit about how much they cost, after they breezed one time."

People put too much thought and energy in an auction price.

HEJAZI, whom is 2 for 9 earning $300K, and let's not forget all the drama with the late MEDINA SPIRIT, and his demise later on.

So, I faded, happily.
